When Dr. George D. Lundberg was forced out as the editor of JAMA, he was quickly signed by Medscape to head up an electronic journal called Medscape General Medicine. At the October 1999 New York-New Jersey chapter meeting, a librarian told us of meeting Dr. Lundberg recently, who went on at great lengths telling her how great this new journal is. She asked him what plans were being made to archive the articles. He replied that he didn't think any articles would be kept over five years. When she expressed dismay at this, he replied "I'm not concerned with it - that's your problem."
