Hi all, Please see request from Mary Ryan below.  If anyone has this white
paper, perhaps we could post it on the section website as well?  As
Jett said below, it is a topic of eternal interest.  I must admit, I
did not go through every past newsletter on our website looking for it, so
perhaps it is already on the website buried somewhere...   Deb

Folks--hi.

The Dartmouth libraries are thinking we could benefit with heightened
sensitivity to potential conflicts of interest in our dealings with business
partners (publishers, systems vendors, suppliers, book jobbers, etc.).
Potential conflicts of interest can manifest themselves in scooping up
tchotchkes and swag at MLA, in letting a vendor buy you an expensive lunch,
in a bibliographer/manager serving on a publisher's "advisory committee."

Have any of you addressed this issue and perhaps have guidelines or policies
to share with me?

Our objective is to create workable and accessible guidelines about
potential conflicts of interest, not to write the definitive treatise on the
topic.

I'd appreciate any help you could extend.
