[Mla-cds] it's UpToDate renewal time again

Every year with UTD brings some new wrinkle and also a new sales contact.
This year's surprise is our costs are increasing $11K because they've
implemented a new pricing model (of course they have - pardon my sarcasm but
I hate this company).  Because they consider two of our hospitals
non-teaching (he didn't explain why but I'll be sure to ask) they're using a
clinical faculty head count rather than their standard AHA Guide bed count
to calculate costs.  The good news (more sarcasm) is we're still getting a
25% discount on our main hospital because it is a teaching facility.

 

Has your institution been given this same story for increased costs?  Until
I get the FedEx'd proposal on Monday I won't know if there are any license
bombshells this year too.
