I am passing this online collection development consulting position  
notice on to the Section:

Position:   Medical library online consultant



*Objective/Purpose*:

To develop a virtual clinical resources subscription service for  
physicians in USA and abroad.



*Project scope*

The scope of the engagement is as follows in order of priority:

·      Electronic medical resources Development (Online clinical  
library)

o   Collection Development, online digital medical resources,  
including Book Acquisitions, Periodicals and databases subscriptions.

o   Integrated search database interface design.



·      Identify different development phases

o   Coordinate multiple proposal bids

o   Additional technical/business requirements like security,  
privacy, logging, reports, etc.

o   Negotiating with Vendors

o   Possible library budget planning



·      Customized Written Plans concerning electronic resources and  
Services in accordance with the JCAHO and other professional standards



*Time Commitment*

It is estimated the above tasks may take a few weeks.



*Compensation*

The compensation for deliverables as described above will be  
negotiated on fixed amount project: with payment schedule over the  
terms of project duration.



Compensation may range from $1200-2500, with room to negotiate as per  
further discussion.
