Hi,
In this issue of "Developments", as noted by Katherine, there is a listing of available MLA grants, scholarships with approaching deadlines, Also noteworthy, there are two items, with deadlines, posted by our CDS committee chairs, Rebecca and Sylvia, that are pertinent to CDS:
January 15, 2011: Send in Your Nominations for the Daniel T. Richards Award...The Medical Library Association/Collection Development Section (MLA/CDS) is seeking nominations for the Daniel T. Richards Prize for writing related to collecting in the health sciences...
(2010 was the 65th anniversary of the birth and the 15 anniversary of the death of Daniel T. Richards for whom this Prize was named...)
January 19, 2011: CDS Needs You! The Nominating Committee of the MLA Collection Development Section is accepting nominations for open positions...
Please consider nominating, self-nominating...

Greetings All,
The Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Developments<http://colldev.mlanet.org/newsletter/developments2202.htm>, the Collection Development Section newsletter is now available.
In this issue you will find a message from the chair, Ramune Kubilus, a re-cap of a successful MLA 2010 conference; proposed changes to the bylaws, a listing of available grants, scholarships and awards, as well as highlighting CDS membership publishing efforts. We also have write-ups of interesting activities and contributions by CDS members. It is a very full issue, so pour yourself a cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy.
